Cross-Border Logistics & Freight Management
Shipment documentation that previously took hours of manual work is now generated automatically. Customers can track cargo status in real time, customs documentation is always compliant, and the operations team has full visibility into all active shipments across the Afghanistan-China trade corridor.
Problem
Wakhan Corridor Transit & Forwarding Co. specializes in facilitating trade between Afghanistan and China through the Wakhan Corridor, including block train operations from Hairaton to Yingtan Nan. Managing cross-border cargo documentation, multi-modal shipment tracking, and customs compliance across international borders required systems they didn't have.
Approach
We mapped the entire freight forwarding workflow — from booking and documentation through customs clearance to final delivery. The solution was designed to handle multi-modal logistics (rail, road), cross-border compliance, and real-time shipment visibility.
Solution
Implemented Odoo with custom freight management modules covering shipment booking, multi-modal tracking (rail and road), customs documentation generation, customer invoicing with freight cost allocation, and real-time shipment status dashboards for both internal teams and customers.
Outcome
Shipment documentation that previously took hours of manual work is now generated automatically. Customers can track cargo status in real time, customs documentation is always compliant, and the operations team has full visibility into all active shipments across the Afghanistan-China trade corridor.
“Cross-border logistics between Afghanistan and China is complex. Orhan built us a system that handles the complexity so we can focus on moving cargo.”
